Located in the Cepheus/Cassiopeia border the Bubble nebula is caused by winds from the bright star in it's core pushing away the surrounding nebula material. It is about 11,000 light years distant and the bubble itself is 10 light years in diameter. Also shown is the bright open cluster M52 which lies at the same distance and it part of the same region.
This is a composite of 8 x 300s unguided subs, PA was slightly out so there was too much drift for longer.
