Comet Kohoutek
This comet did not stay around for very long. In 1974 it was predicted as being the comet of the century. Named after its discoverer, the comet failed to meet expectations and indeed capturing an image of it was to prove very difficult. By the time the comet had formed a resonable tail, it was getting lost in the glare of the sun.
