It was very early in the morning! Although the conditions were not ideal, the sun rose in eclipse and slowly the Moon's disk passed off the Sun's as it rose over the horizon as seen from high ground at Fairlight, near Rye, Sussex.

Telescope aperture and focal ratio:These are three images superimposed to reveal (more or less) the rising sun. They were taken by pointing the camera at the rather dim image of the solar disk at sun rise and taking some footage of the rising Sun before it got too bright!
