Image of mars taken at approximately 11.30pm on the 15th August using an 8" Newtonian with 5x powermate and an unmodified Toucam Pro. Processed using K3ccdtools and Registax V2.0.1 to bring out the contrast. The seeing was poor as the planet was only approximately 10 degrees above the horizon. As previous attempts had saturated the red channel, the gain was reduced to regain resolution of red. Unfortunately this left the Blue channel significantly underexposed, hence the "unusual" colour cast. Future efforts may be a combination of exposure times to capture the blue.
